Fury v Joshua, 11 December 2026
Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua is scheduled for 11 December 2026. It is the all-British heavyweight fight that has been talked about for the better part of a decade, and the fact that it is finally happening makes it the biggest boxing event of the winter by some distance.
The venue had not been confirmed at the time of writing, which matters more than it sounds. Where a fight is staged determines what time it lands in the UAE — and that is the single most useful thing to know before you plan your night around it.
The overnight problem
That last point catches people out every time. If the main event walks at 1am, you are watching on the following calendar day. Set an alarm for the right morning.
- UK-hosted card: ring walks typically between midnight and 2am UAE time.
- US-hosted card: the main event can be well after 3am UAE time.
- Undercard coverage starts several hours before the main event.
- The date is 11 December, but the fight may technically be on the 12th if you are watching from here.
Planning a fight night properly
The difficulty with a fight at 1am is not staying awake. It is that you get one attempt at it, and a failure at 2am with a sleeping household is not something you can troubleshoot patiently.
- Sort the subscription and any pay-per-view purchase days in advance — payment problems at midnight are common and slow to resolve.
- Test the stream earlier in the evening, while the undercard is running.
- Set an alarm for the ring walk rather than staying up through four hours of undercard.
- Decide in advance whether you are watching live or waiting for a replay the next day — a subscription that includes the replay is worth having.
Pay-per-view or subscription?
Big fights are usually sold twice over: as a standalone pay-per-view purchase, or as part of a subscription that carries the broadcaster showing it. Which is better value depends entirely on how much boxing you watch.
If this is the one fight a year you care about, a single purchase is cheaper. If you follow the sport, a subscription that includes the boxing channels plus everything else costs less than two or three individual events, and covers the undercards you would otherwise skip.
